Which Mouse Makes More Sense for FPS Under BDT 2k?

If the choice is between Corsair Katar Pro at Tk 1,900 and Gigabyte Aorus M2 at Tk 1,100 (Price may change), buy the Aorus M2 unless you have already tried the Katar Pro shape and know it fits your hand better. For FPS games, both are wired, both are light enough for fast movement, and both have gaming-grade sensors for this budget. The Aorus M2 simply gives you more of the practical FPS basics for much less money.

That does not mean the Katar Pro is bad. Corsair's official page lists the Katar Pro with a 12,400 DPI optical sensor, 69g weight, and six fully programmable buttons. Ryans lists it with 69g weight and a 2-year warranty. If you prefer a smaller, lighter, compact symmetric shape for claw or fingertip grip, the Katar Pro can still make sense.

But if you are spending from a strict Tk 2,000 budget, price matters. The Aorus M2 saves around Tk 800, and that money can go into a proper mousepad, which often improves FPS aim more than jumping between two budget gaming mice with similar real-world performance.

Why Aorus M2 is the Better Value Pick

The Aorus M2 is not fancy, but the spec sheet is strong for the price. Ryans lists it at Tk 1,100, with a Pixart 3327 optical sensor, 200-6200 DPI adjustment, up to 1000Hz report rate, 30G acceleration, 220 IPS tracking speed, 7 buttons, 1.8m cable, 76g +- 5% weight, and 1-year warranty. Gigabyte's own product information also highlights the 6200 DPI optical sensor, Omron switches, ambidextrous design, and side buttons on both sides.

For Valorant, CS2, Apex, Warzone, Fortnite, or similar FPS games, the important things are not extremely high DPI numbers. Most players use much lower effective sensitivity. What matters more is sensor consistency, stable polling, shape, click feel, cable drag, and whether the mouse sits naturally in your hand.

The Aorus M2 covers those basics. Its ambidextrous design also gives it a practical advantage for left-handed users or anyone who likes side buttons on both sides. At Tk 1,100, it leaves enough budget for a medium mousepad, which is a smarter FPS upgrade than using a good mouse on a bad surface.

When Corsair Katar Pro Still Makes Sense

The Katar Pro makes sense if you specifically want the lighter 69g body, Corsair's shape, and the longer 2-year warranty listed by Ryans. Corsair's official product page describes it as an ultra-light gaming mouse with a compact symmetric shape, 12,400 DPI optical sensor, plug-and-play setup, and six fully programmable buttons through Corsair iCUE.

There is one thing to check before buying: Ryans' listing currently shows "Number of Button - 3", while Corsair's own page says six fully programmable buttons. That mismatch is a reason to inspect the exact box/model physically before paying if side buttons are important to you.

For claw or fingertip grip, the Katar Pro can feel quicker because of the lower weight and compact body. If your hand is small to medium and you dislike wider mice, it may be the more comfortable option. Comfort beats spec-sheet value if you already know the shape works for you.

Do Not Choose by DPI Alone

The Katar Pro advertises up to 12,400 DPI and the Aorus M2 up to 6,200 DPI. On paper that looks like a big difference. In actual FPS gaming, it usually is not. Many competitive players play at 400, 800, or 1600 DPI and tune sensitivity inside the game.

A stable 800 DPI on a shape you can control is better than a 12,400 DPI number you will never use. So do not pay extra only because one number is bigger. Pay extra only if the mouse shape, weight, warranty, or software features matter to you.

What About Other Options Under 2k?

If you can stretch slightly above Tk 2,000, Logitech G102 often enters the conversation and is a safe mainstream pick. But if the hard budget is Tk 2,000 and the current Aorus M2 price stays around Tk 1,100, the Aorus M2 is the more aggressive value choice.

For FPS, also budget for a mousepad. A cheap cloth pad with enough horizontal space can make low-sensitivity aiming much smoother. If you buy the Tk 1,100 Aorus M2, you can still buy a decent pad inside the same Tk 2,000 total budget. If you buy the Tk 1,900 Katar Pro, you may have no budget left for the surface.

Final Recommendation

Buy the Gigabyte Aorus M2 if you want the best value gaming mouse under Tk 2,000 for FPS shooting games. It has enough sensor performance, side buttons, low enough weight, and a very strong current price.

Buy the Corsair Katar Pro only if you prefer its lighter body, compact shape, Corsair warranty/software ecosystem, or you have tested the mouse and know it fits your grip. For most budget FPS players, Aorus M2 plus a decent mousepad is the smarter buy.
